Before You Book...

With our ultimate All Day Presenter & DJ package, we'll usually meet up for a complimentary consultation meeting before you even confirm that you wish to book Oxfordshire Wedding Entertainment for your wedding!

At the meeting we'll go through what is it that you're looking for on your wedding day, how you can imagine it's going to be, how you want to feel and how your guests will feel. I am full of great ideas and advice from my previous extensive wedding entertainment experience - I'll listen carefully to your own requirements and then make any suggestions I feel would enhance your wedding day.

After the meeting I'll provide you with a tailored quotation to consider at your own leisure. I'm then available by email, phone or video chat to finalise details right up to the big day!

What's Included?

  • Your choice of music for the ceremony (observing the registrar's restrictions on content)
  • Professional quality, discrete sound system so the music can be heard clearly without being too loud
  • A professional to fade the music in and out at appropriate times - no abrupt iPod endings!
  • Everything can be set up prior to your guests arriving or the lighting can be set up after the wedding breakfast for a tidier look
  • Your choice of background music during the wedding breakfast
  • Use of microphones for the speeches if required
  • Music requests welcomed from you and your guests in advance or on the night (if you'd like us to!)
  • Professional light show to add to the celebrations
  • An experienced and competent DJ and Presenter throughout

The Ceremony

I will arrive and set up as we will have previously discussed, using a very discrete Bose sound system to produce professional sound quality for your ceremony. As your guests arrive it will be to music of your choice, playing in the background at a low level to set the mood.

As you enter the marriage room your chosen musical accompaniment will play (often the Bridal March) and perfectly timed to fade as you approach the registrar. During the ceremony more of your chosen music will be played at the scheduled points such as the signing of the register and at the recessional as you and your new spouse walk back down the aisle.

Your choice of music will then be playing as your guests leave the marriage room. Depending on the venue layout we may then continue playing background music during your drinks reception or photographs, or work with the venue staff to re-arrange the room in time for the wedding breakfast.

Throughout the ceremonial period, should you require any special announcements to be made then I will be more than happy to perform these for you.

The Wedding Breakfast

Music of your choice playing in the background and at a low level as your guests take their seats, continuing throughout the wedding breakfast. This will allow you and your guests to hold conversations whilst setting the feel and mood for this very special meal. This period is the ideal opportunity to play some of the less danceable requests that you love.

When it is time for the introductions and speeches, either I, the venue manager or your Toastmaster can make the relevant announcements. Microphones can be provided for your use with a brief outline of how best to hold and speak through them (all discussed at a quiet point prior to the meal).

If the wedding cake is to be cut between the wedding breakfast and the first dance, this can also be announced to guests and either a simple cake cutting or the cake cutting ceremony can be performed.

The Evening Party

At the appropriate time, the music level is increased slightly and gradually more upbeat music is played prior to the time of your first dance. Your guests are encouraged to gather and the wedding couple will be introduced to the room for their first dance. You may want certain guests to be invited to join as a specific point, or a second dance can be added for all to join in?

If I'm working alongside other entertainers (bands, musicians etc.) I'll have already been in touch with them beforehand to discuss playlists and timings in order to present you with a seamless evening's entertainment.

Later, a bouquet toss can be co-ordinated, or the buffet meal announced - whatever aspects of the evening need co-ordinating, I'm here to keep everyone informed and encouraging them to participate.

Music requests are welcomed from you or your guests throughout the evening, unless you'd rather I didn't! I'll already have your "wish-list" and "must avoid" instructions and will arrange the music accordingly to suit the crowd during the party, filling in with similar music where necessary.

Towards the end of the evening I can either build up to a crescendo or slow things down a little to suit your requirements and any specific "send off" song you may have in mind!

Your Wedding Entertainment

Music of your choice will be playing in the background at a low level as your guests take their seats and throughout the wedding breakfast. Sensible volume levels from high-quality equipment will allow your guests to engage in conversations throughout the peiod, whilst the music sets the feel and mood for this very special time. It also gives you chance to hear the "non-dance" tracks that you love.

When it's time for the all-important wedding speeches, either I, the venue manager or your toastmaster can introduce the speakers. Microphones can be provided if needed along with a brief outline of how to hold them for best effect (I'll run through this quickly with you beforehand).

If a wedding cake is to be cut between the wedding breakfast and the first dance, this can be announced to the guests either as a simple cake cutting or a more formal ceremony. Then, at an appropriate moment, the music level is increased slightly and more upbeat music is played leading up to the time of your first dance. I'll ensure that your guests are gathered ready to welcome you to the dancefloor when I will formally introduce you to the room. You may like invited guests to join you during the first (or second) dance in which case I'll call them at the appropriate point.

If I'm working alongside other entertainers (bands, musicians etc.) I'll have already been in touch with them beforehand to discuss playlists and timings in order to present you with a seamless evening's entertainment.

Later in the evening, any other events such as the tossing of the bouquet or the buffet meal will be announced accordingly and the music and lighting adjusted as necessary to set the scene. Throughout the course of the evening I'll be referring to your playlist (and your "don't play list" - no matter who requests them!) to guide the music selection, filling in with similar songs and guest requests as appropriate.

The end of the evening will be played out in accordance with our prior arrangements, too - either upbeat songs leading to a crescendo or ending with some slower, romantic numbers. The choice is yours!




Before The Big Day...

Before your wedding day we'll meet up for a chat - either at your home, the venue or another mutually convenient location - where we'll go through what it is that you're looking for from your wedding reception. We'll talk around your musical tastes (and dislikes!) to put together a framework for the evening along with your timings and any other events that are taking place - speeches, bouquet tossing, buffet meal, fireworks etc.. As an experienced wedding DJ I am full of ideas and advice from previous events!

  • A stunning range of modern lighting effects, tailored to your venue and requested musical styles
  • Music requests taken from you and your guests prior to the event as well as on the night (if you want us to!)

On The Day...

I'll arrive in plenty of time and begin preparations as soon as the room is made available. I'll have background level music of your choice up and running quite quickly whilst the remainder of the equipment is being set up and before you know it I'll be ready to start my performance.

If I'm working alongside other entertainers (bands, musicians etc.) I'll have already been in touch with them beforehand to discuss playlists and timings in order to present you with a seamless evening's entertainment.

At the appropriate moment, the music level is increased slightly and more upbeat music is played leading up to the time of your first dance. I'll ensure that your guests are gathered ready to welcome you to the dancefloor when I will formally introduce you to the room. You may like invited guests to join you during the first (or second) dance in which case I'll call them at the appropriate point.

Later in the evening, any other events such as the tossing of the bouquet or the buffet meal will be announced accordingly and the music and lighting adjusted as necessary to set the scene.
